North Avenue Studios looks back at a summer fit for titans

As the summer of 2010 comes to an end; we at North Avenue Studios can’t hide how thankful we are for all the good vibes that come our way. We are lucky and we are not afraid to show it. The summer has proven to be eventful thus far, bringing amazing talent and memories: as well as new hopes, opportunities and ambition with community and friends in mind.

We reflect on our participation at Vibe Fest (Brevard County’s first full on music/plus festival) with headliner Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, as well as performances by the amazing Peter Baldwin, Junkie Rush and the Bastard Suns. We pride ourselves on a great turn out for our Official North Avenue Studios Launch Party in Deland, Florida. We smile at the Off the Avenue video shoots we’ve helped develop, with performances by artists such as: Kaliegh Baker, Shak Nasti, Bananafish, Peter Baldwin, Andy Matchett & the Minks and so much more. We are thankful for opportunities both in and outside the studio, both personal and communal. This is just a TASTE of what we have in mind.

Whether it be a show, a new sponsorship, an open mic event, festivals, great albums in progress, lifelong connections to friends, video shoots or just a good old fashion BBQ in our patio, we’ve proven that home can be right where the heart is. That heart is music. We are constantly thankful for the people who make this place a cultural nest of inspiration…YOU.

  • North Ave creates a friend with engineer/songwriter Steven Howell (Wendy’s commercial “You know when it’s real”)
  • Run Rhino OTA video shoot
  • Andy Matchett and the Minks OTA video shoot
  • North Avenue Studios gets a mention at Manley Labs for our extensive use of Manley’s Gold Reference Mic

August

  • North Avenue official launch party at Davinci in Deland, Florida.
  • Bananafish OTA video shoot
  • sessions with the amazing singer/songwriter/composer Tabitha Meeks
  • talks begin for Peter Baldwin’s debut album
  • North Ave greets and meets with producer/engineer Mark Mason
  • Works with Thomas Wynn of “Thomas Wynn and the Believers”
  • Collaborations between Drew Yardis, Camron Golami, Dave Plakon and friends.
  • Lee joins Beebs and Her Money Makers on drums/plays House of Blues
  • North Ave collaborates with local professionals Chris Anderson, James Truitt, and Anthony Manzo on big ideas (TBA)
