North Avenue Studios launches its ambitious artist series website, “Off the Avenue”
North Avenue Studios is proud to announce the debut of the Off the Avenue web series. Off the Avenue is designed to focus specifically on the artist and uses innovative multimedia outlets to allow a closer connection to its fans.
The site is designed to address the need for top HD video production, live and intimate recording sessions, interviews, photos and other media. It is the portal by which the artist can truly express and advertise themselves in ways not typically possible.
Off the Avenue, the brainchild of North Ave’s studio manager/producer David Plakon, is the culmination many months of intensive preparation and anticipation. He looked to close friends and design team, “The Undesigned” to handle all technical and visual design aspects of the website. Leading the design effort with Plakon is web and graphic designer extraordinaire James Lano whose credits include Rise Records, Sony Japan and Hopeless Records. The Undesigned also incorporates the brilliant minds of photographer Gage Young and commercial video director Alex Purifoy.
In its infancy, Off the Avenue currently features the talents of artistsAn Introduction to Sunshine, Mirror Pal and Open Windows. This marks a great beginning with many more productions to be scheduled in the future. March 28, 2010 marked an important day in the history of North Ave with it’s first “full production” video shoot, guided by the talents of The Undesigned team. The Undesigned, comprised of the brilliant minds of the highly sought after James Lano (creative direction/web design), Gage Young (photography) and Alex Purifoy (film production), guided the direction of the shoot. Their combined credits involve work relationships with Rolling Stone, MTV, Alternative Press Magazine, Warped Tour and the band “A Day to Remember” just to name a few.
Simultaneous production has commenced on the Intro to Sunshine album (with our very own David Plakon producing and performing) and EPK (electronic press kit), also directed by The Undesigned.
All raw footage has been completed and is now proceeding into its post production stage. We’re excited to see the final product, which will be featured on our site in the following weeks.
